The Olli Jokinen era is over in Toronto.

The Maple Leafs moved the veteran centre to St. Louis right before the trade deadline on Monday for a conditional sixth round pick and fourth liner Joakim Lindstrom.

The pick can improve to a fourth-rounder if the Blues make the Stanley Cup final with Jokinen playing a role in their success.

Lindstrom has an expiring contract and isn't believed to be in Toronto's plans.

The Leafs originally got Jokinen in a bigger deal with Nashville that involved Cody Franson and Mike Santorelli going to the Predators for a first round pick and prospect Brendan Leipsic.

Jokinen played only six games in Toronto.

Late in the day, the Leafs then sent defenceman Korbinian Holzer to Anaheim for the expiring contract of defenceman Eric Brewer and a fifth-round draft pick.

Those two minor deals were the only moves the Leafs made on a quiet deadline after early talks with Detroit about captain Dion Phaneuf broke down.
