Canada is rounding out its roster at the IIHF World Hockey Championship with defenceman Kris Russell.

The 25-year-old is expected to arrive in Helsinki on Thursday.

Russell recently completed his season with the St. Louis Blues and will bring the number of healthy blue-liners on the team to eight.

He had six goals and 12 points in 55 games while splitting the year between St. Louis and Columbus.

Russell won two gold medals with Canada's world junior team and competed at the 2010 world championship in Germany.
