The Calgary Flames recalled centre Sam Bennett from the Ontario Hockey League's Kingston Frontenacs on Friday.

Bennett, a native Holland Landing, Ont., was the Flames' first-round pick (fourth overall) in the 2014 NHL draft.

The 18-year-old played 11 regular-season games for Kingston this year, amassing 24 points (11 goals, 13 assists) and had three assists in the Frontenacs' four playoff games.

Kingston was swept by the North Bay Battalion in their first-round, best-of-seven playoff series that ended Thursday night.
