Connor McDavid had two goals and three assists– extending his point streak to 25 games– as the Erie Otters doubled up the visiting Barrie Colts 10-5 on Wednesday in Ontario Hockey League action.

The 18-year-old McDavid now has four games this season in which he has produced five or more points. His 39 goals and 107 points in 40 games places him third in league scoring despite missing a month with a hand injury. Mitchell Marner of the London Knights leads the league with 119 points in 56 contests while Erie teammate Dylan Strome sits second with 112 points in 60 games.

Strome, Nicholas Baptiste, Kyle Maksimovich and Alex DeBrincat each had a goal and an assist for the Otters (42-14-4) while Jake Marchment added a pair of goals. Remi Elie and Taylor Raddysh also scored to round out the offence.

Kevin Labanc struck twice for the Colts (38-21-2) as Garrett Hooey, Cordell James and Matthew Kreiss added the others.

Erie's Daniel Dekoning only had to make 13 saves for the win. Mackenzie Blackwood allowed 10 goals on 29 shots for Barrie.

The Otters went 3 for 7 on the power play while the Colts failed to convert on three chances with the man advantage.
