The Boston Bruins have signed restricted free agents Torey Krug and Reilly Smith to one-year deals worth $1.4-million.

The pair, who were not eligible for salary arbitration or an offer sheet, have missed the start of training camp and the first four preseason games.

Krug appeared in 79 games last season, his first full year in the NHL, finishing second in scoring among Bruins defencemen with 14 goals and tied with veteran Zdeno Chara with 40 points. He was named to the NHL All-Rookie Team after finishing fourth in rookie scoring and tops among first year defencemen.

Smith, who came to Boston as part of the Tyler Seguin deal in 2013, established career-highs in all categories last year, scoring 20 goals, 31 assists and 51 points. He was one of just three Bruins to skate in all 82 games last season, joining Gregory Campbell and Brad Marchand.
