The Toronto Argonauts have signed former NFL running back Bernard Scott.

Scott spent five seasons in the NFL from 2009 to 2013 with the Cincinnati Bengals and Baltimore Ravens, rusing for 1,049 yards on 259 total carries. His best season came in 2011 with the Bengals when he ran for 380 yards on 112 carries with 25 touchdowns.

He started 2013 with the Ravens before being cut prior to the start of the season to make room for tight end Dennis Pitta. He was re-signed by Baltimore after wide receiver Brandon Stokley suffered a season-ending concussion. Scott did not see any action until the final two games of the regular season, rushing for a total of 14 yards on four carries.

The 31-year-old was a free-agent in 2014.
