There haven't been a lot of big lateral lawyer moves lately. But Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP is about to announce that it has picked up Joel Scoler, a financial services partner from McCarthy Tétrault LLP.
Mr. Scoler, whose move was to be announced publicly by Davies on Monday, focuses on finance, restructuring and insolvency, and counts major banks and U.S. private equity firms among his clients.
