In photos: Northrop Nomad aircraft recovered from Lake Muskoka

Members of the Royal Canadian Navy and the Royal Canadian Air Force recovered the wreckage of the Northrop Nomad aircraft #3521 after 74 years on the bottom of Lake Muskoka, Ontario. The plane disappeared in 1940 just 12 days before Christmas and was on a search-and-rescue mission. The plane was flown by Flight Lieutenant Peter Campbell and Leading Aircraftsman Theodore Bates, whose remains were recovered 2010.
