Impeccably toned and dressed controversially in a figure-hugging white gown, Pippa Middleton nearly crashed Twitter as she held her sister's sizable train this morning -- and may have overshadowed Kate on her big day.
Pippa, a 27-year old party planner, was trending higher than her sister on Twitter, with royal watchers gushing over her hour-glass frame in that dress -- more specifically, the detailed back of that dress.
"Oh god. Pippa looks better. AWKWARD," Tweeted one.
"Pippa Middleton stole the show!" squealed another.
"Kate looks just fine but she should've made Pippa wear a re-designed pair of curtains," was the sage advice of another.
Tradition dictates that a woman should never wear white to another's wedding, for fear of upstaging the bride.
Both dresses were designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen, but some have suggested that Pippa's will have more influence in fashion, noting that Kate's was more vintage, with references to Grace Kelly's sweetheart bodiced wedding gown.
What were royal viewers not as keen on? Pippa and Kate's over-the-top insta-tans. Indeed, both women radiated chestnut skin in their ivory gowns.
Nonetheless, Pippa's appearance sent tongues wagging over whether she and Prince Harry would hook up at the reception.
"Stranger things have happened!" the tabs hoped.
