L'Abattoir bar man Shaun Layton's update of a classic Old Fashioned recipe incorporates a small amount of the obscure spirit Bigallet China China.

Ingredients

1 1/2 oz Fernet-Branca

1/2 oz Bigallet China China

1 sugar cube

2 orange peels

Method

Add Bigallet, orange peel and sugar cube to mixing glass and muddle. Add Fernet-Branca and ice and stir before straining the cocktail into an ice filled Old Fashioned glass. Garnish with an additional orange peel and cherry.
