Canadian fashion lovers got quite a treat on the opening night of World MasterCard Fashion Week in Toronto. From Sid Neigum’s graceful grey ensemble to Pink Tartan’s psychedelic paisley print, top-notch designs for spring 2015 were on full display.
Sid Neigum, who was the winner of last night’s Mercedes Benz Start Up competition, sent a stunning gunmetal three-piece down the runway; the warmth of the jacket played perfectly against the sensual silk of the tunic and skirt.
Channelling the more manicured side of the psychedelic era (think Bianca Jagger, not Mick), Pink Tartan’s trippy prints were a smash hit. I could totally see this outfit on the ultra-hip Megan Draper from Mad Men.
As part of their Mercedes Benz Start Up collection, Beaufille’s beautiful biker-chic vibe was best exemplified with a cherry-red leather vest and matching leggings, tempered by a gauzy white top featuring fierce metallic detailing on the collar.
