Party photos of the week: Moses Znaimer’s Ideacity
Toronto celebrated the 15th year of Ideacity with three days of lectures, parties, and – as expected – tons of ideas. The brainchild of former CITY-TV boss-man Moses Znaimer, IdeaCity brings together an eclectic group of speakers and thought-leaders – from activists to cosmologists – to tackle a range of topics from medical marijuana to kosher sex. This year’s festivities went down at Koerner Hall and brought out notables from astronaut Buzz Aldrin and Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, (who is known as “the most famous rabbi in America”), to Edward Burtynsky and Wade Davis, the explorer-in-residence at the National Geographic Society. The fun didn’t stop there; in addition to the speakers, a slew of performers took the stage to entertain the crowds, including the ever-popular post-feminist horn ensemble, Genghis Barbie. parties@globeandmail.com
