The question

How do I keep my bangs under control in the humidity?

The answer

Hats off to you for being dedicated enough to want to tame your fringe during humid weather. I've been through this once before during a particularly sweaty summer and it was a true test of my patience. Luckily, you can benefit from my experience. First off, look for styling products that have key words like "smoothing," "anti-frizz" and "moisturizing." These often contain ingredients such as keratin, oils and even small amounts of silicone, which will add a "top coat" or sealant to the hair shaft to keep any dampness from seeping into your hair and swelling it to epic proportions.

Beware of over-using finishing products with these particular ingredients, however, as you run the risk of them leaving your hair looking slick and oily (and I doubt it's the look you're going for). I like Inecto Pure Coconut Smoothing Hair Serum because it's lightweight, leaves a tropical scent behind and has a price tag of only $5.99.

To finish off, run a flat iron over your bangs once or twice for an extra-smooth fringe that will stay put, no matter what the weather is like.
