Grant Fagerheim was chief executive officer of Cadence Energy Inc. when it was sold to Barrick Gold Corp. in 2008. Now he heads up Whitecap Resources Inc. operating in the Peace River Arch and Pembina regions of Alberta as well as in southern Saskatchewan. Whitecap hopes to end the year producing around 7,900 barrels of oil equivalent per day. Since May 25, Mr. Fagerheim has bought 25,000 shares in the public market between $6.60 to $6.62. On May 17, a director exercised 5,500 options and did not sell.
