MOVIE Perfectly Normal Vision, midnight In his own quiet way, Michael Riley has become the very definition of The Great Canadian Actor. Seen most recently on the CBC series Being Erica, the unassuming thespian delivers a masterful performance in this 1991 comedy directed by Yves Simoneau. Riley morphs fully into the role of Renzo, a morose young man who works in a brewery by day and occasionally plays goalie for his company's hockey team. He also drives a cab part-time and one night picks up the blustery extrovert Alonzo, played by Scottish actor Robbie Coltrane, who takes it upon himself to help the quiet Renzo realize his dreams. A perfectly grand Canadian film.
